After seeing the Forbes Rankings, Tiësto must have called Calvin Harris up and said something like, “Hey buddy, let’s keep these top rankings up. I have a brilliant idea, let’s go on tour.” Calvin agreed and now we have the ‘Greater Than’ arena tour, that’s like a giant slap in the face to every other DJ out there. Tiësto + Harris > You.
None of that might be true, but what is is that the two Hakkasan Las Vegas residents are combining their star power for a run of sold out shows hitting London, Manchester, Glasgow, Belfast and Dublin. Who’s going to open, who will close, are we going to see Tiësto and Calvin Harris form a new supergroup ala Dog Blood and start producing tunes together?
Anything is possible and the last thing you want to do is underestimate Tiësto, who has clearly displayed his adeptness at evolving to stay current. There’s a reason why he’s been at the top of dance music for so many years.
