It looks like Tiesto picked Las Vegas for good reason. Aside from his mega sized exclusive deal at Hakkasan Nightclub, he will also be scoring and serving as music producer for a new drama on CBS that’s being shot in Sin City. Maybe he’ll make his acting debut as well.
The new still untitled show is being created by Shane Brennan – the man responsible for other works like NCIS: Los Angeles and CSI: Miami.
The storyline is still in development, but it’s supposed to be some sort of cop drama. It will also involve EDM and take place in Las Vegas.
“It’s really exciting that they want to make the music about it all EDM, so I’m going to be the music supervisor and producer,” says Tiesto of the new project.
So there you have it – the first EDM drama is here and club life is about to be portrayed to the American public. There’s going to be a lot of douchey bottle service and it’s almost guaranteed that the first episode will involve an attractive young female clubber dying from a “molly” overdose. Maybe they should hire me as a writer.
Terrible dramas aside, Tiesto continues to show unrivaled workmanship. While everyone is busy looking in at the captivating images and major crowds, he’s traveling non-stop and scoring deals like this one.
He truly does want to be number one on the Forbes list next year.
