Atlanta News Team 11Alive Sends Undercover Reporters Into TomorrowWorld [Video]

A local Atlanta news team, 11Alive, sent two reporters into Bouckaert Farm this past weekend to investigate drug-use during TomorrowWorld. According to their website, “investigative journalists Ross McLaughlin and Shawn Hoder went to the event, bought two tickets, and took a small camera along. They captured activity right out in the open.” For regular festival attendees, their findings are old news; however, their efforts will surely inform the general public of these happenings.

we don’t see families with drinking problems inside there homes, nor do we see the children and wife beaters and teachers that date there students but lets try and mess with kids who chose to go to these events, seriously ?! this is the same people who have been to Woodstock or the people who celebrate 420, GTFOH and leave the people who go for the music ALONE

I worked an event every day of this festival these people were outstanding friendly , non violent and again sooooo respectful just having a good time and being very responsible also so stop searching for bad and give credit where credit is due…….

so they’ll go to a festival with cameras trying to “expose” the (as they put it) one of the most deadliest drugs today, MDMA, but they won’t go to any other neighborhoods and “expose” crack/heroin/meth. all the focus is on people taking molly whenever a festival/concert makes news, but there’s no focus on people ODing on crack or heroin….just sayin…

The organizers did a standout job with security and safety at this festival.. Maybe you should focus on the positives like how much money this brought to ATL in Hotel revenues, cab fares, and local jobs at the festival instead of focusing on the negatives like a few people that decided on their on behalf to do drugs here.

I generally think that the unrelated, uninformed public looking into the PLUR scene has a very misconstrued perspective of these wonderful, life-changing events, and the incredible music that is the foundation. Non-edm festivals have other drugs, and those people also make bad choices leading to DUI-related deaths, cocaine overdose, etc, this is just a time of publicity and attention. This spotlight on EDM is giving the scene a horrible reputation, and I hate it! Way to ruin something exceptionally spectacular by misrepresented information – and a HUGE generation gap. The 30-60 year olds know damn well what the hippies in their generation were doing, and they supported that revolution. This is a way for our culture to grow and experience the same type of thing. WhiteRaverRafting.com should SERIOUSLY produce a counter-video showing the love and community, the care we take, and the maturity we have that is not shown on the news, as first-timers OD, and ignorants leave a bad mark.

-_- Freakin’ bros, freakin’ reporters… While they included talk of the efforts to curb drug use, most of their coverage was of the GTL crowd with the Molly clothing and tales of being offered drugs. A story conducted for nothing more than to stir up controversy and make money. If it was about TomorrowWorld’s efforts to stop drug-related deaths, and they maybe included some parts of how easy it was to obtain MDMA/shrooms, then that would have actually been beneficial to the community. But nope, gotta rile up those who already have a negative impression of this scene.
