Yet another tragic incident related to the Ultra Music Festival has been reported by the Miami New Times. After attending the legendary electronic music festival late Saturday night, 21-year-old improv comedian Adonis Escoto was found dead in his car by his friends who had left him there earlier that evening.
After complaining of dizziness Escoto was escorted back to his vehicle by his companions who assumed he was intoxicated and needed a place to sober up. Upon returning to the vehicle after the event ended, they found Escoto dead. The cause of death is still unknown, but the Escoto family insists the incident was not drug-related.
Although the circumstances surrounding his death remain a mystery, Escoto’s family has speculated that perhaps someone laced his drink. Unfortunately this is not completely unheard of. Last year a UMF attendee almost died after being given an anti-freeze laced water.
Escoto’s uncle and aunt are hoping that their nephew’s death will give the city of Miami cause to put an end to the festival, which they described in a quote to CBS Miami as “no good.”
We at White Raver Rafting wish to extend our sincerest condolences to the Escoto family for their untimely loss.
