We knew that the dance music festivals were going to be big in 2013, but I don’t think anyone expected this from Ultra. We just didn’t think they could make it this big. After their revolutionary announcement was that they were pulling a Coachella and expanding to two weekends, fans laughed about it. I don’t think anyone is laughing now. We’re too busy picking our jaws up off of the ground.
Phase 2 of the Ultra Music Festival lineup makes it the largest and most complete dance music festival in the world. I’m calling it a dance music festival and removing the electronic because of all the artists representing every single dance genre out there. I can’t believe that there is a trap music stage weekend two that features Dillon Francis, Flosstradamus, Carnage and more.
What’s the biggest part of this announcement?
Ultra Music Festival has made a compelling argument for hardcore dance music fans to attend both weekends.
There’s no way you’re going to see every artist that you want at a festival, especially not with Ultra being so large. But by the way they’ve configured their lineup and set times, you could go both weekends and see every artist that you want.
That is if you and your bank roll can survive Ultra / WMC / Miami for two weeks.
Ultra Music Festival Phase 2 Lineup:
Just look into the possible lineup combinations and start planning your festival schedule now. I can’t imagine what Bayfront Park is going to look like…. I’m almost shaking with excitement as I write this post. Notable additions in Phase 2 include Eric Prydz (called it), Snoop dogg, Dog Blood, Alesso, Sleigh Bells, The Weeknd, Pretty Lights and more.
Tickets for Ultra Music Festival are on sale now but are expected to sell out soon. Don’t be the friend who forgot to buy them and has to spend a grand on stubhub.
