Had lots of time to dive into some great tracks this week, from Two Friends to new acts like SEEPIE, a spectrum of chill and relaxing sounds makes up this week’s playlist. Enjoy and dive in below.
Donny – Too Crazy To Love You
Mixing a beachy, indie feel with a light house percussion vibe, Donny truly makes something unique with his single “Too Crazy To Love You.” Released on the prominent label Majestic Casual, Donny and the label are a perfect fit for one another. With over 600K plays to his name so far, Donny’s “Too Crazy To Love You” is a strong follow-up to his previous single “Growing Pains” and “The Way I Am”.
SEPPIE – Atmosphere
“Atmosphere” reminds me of the early future bass days where most of it was much more musical and simplistic – the message 100% conveyed through sound alone. The SuicideSheep-type feeling and interesting arrangement is what makes SEPPIE’s “Atmosphere” stand out to me.
Johnny Third – Only I Could
Emmerging Australian artists Johnny Third shows he is a serious player in dance game with his astounding cross over that tricks the brain into thing it is a soft track – only to then go hard with a melodic, clean feeling bass-filled drop – nice one. If you like quality commercial tracks or music with a different edge, look to further than “Only I Could.”
POOLCLVB – Waiting For You
POOLCLVB always has a way of mixing in classic house elements with light, chill electronic music. They tackle just this and more with their indie-fused house single “Waiting For You”. Frankly, what’s not to like? Originality, wonderful mixing and mastering, and a smooth fun feel throughout gives “Waiting For You” it’s zest.
ShowMe & Virginia Palms – Redolence
“Redolence” combines trill elements with super soft and relaxing r&b. Undoubtably, there is a dance music feeling vibe within. ShowMe & Virginia Palms has tapped into something that almost instantly makes you sink in and turn off for a bit. ” Redolence” isn’t the first goodie either these two have provided, click through to their SoundCloud channel to see what they have been up to.
Two Friends feat. James Delaney – Emily
“Emily,” already locking in 230K+ on SoundCloud, New Music Friday placement, and a host of online buzz, is a well-above average release given its world of sounds it falls in.”Emily” sounds like it is the result of meticulous tweaking and crafting, resulting in bringing out the best in the Two Freinds sound. Two Friends are still touring like crazy, producing great social content, and dropping hot tunes, they are at their peak and climbing.
Blink 182 – All The Small Things (Justin Caruso Remix)
The title on its own being enough to turn heads, Justin Caruso, an artist responsible for making hit remixes and originals acclaiming million of streams combined. “All The Small Things (Justin Caruso Remix)” takes popular uplifting dance music production elements and pairs it with a classic pop-punk vibe from legends Blink 182, certainly not one to be missed.
Obi – Dearest
Obi falls somewhere in between melodic trap and experimental trap. Known for putting out consistent good music, Obi is responsible for singles with hundreds of thousands of plays on them. including releases on OTODAYO, EARCVNDY, and more. “Dearest” gets particularly bassy and experimental, featuring sick arrangement, percussion, and overall feel.
