UZ is one of the most inventive and creative names in the trap game. His tracks “Trap Shit” 1-16 have defined the up-and-comer’s unique sound and really showcased an amazing twist on trap. Each time another group of the “Trap Shit” songs come out, UZ lays down new and infinitely interesting ideas. Continuing to perfect his minimal-trap beats, “Trap-Shit 17/20” shows us just how chill trap can really be.
Trap Shit 17– These sounds are what set UZ apart at the beginning of his mysterious start as the masked trap god. He uses a chill bass line that carries a great hip hop beat and layers it with low toned, chopped vocals and high pitched synth. Number 17 is the perfect and calmest way to introduce the new set of tracks.
Trap Shit 18– This is definitely one of the best. He incorporates much more electro than usual and rumbling, accentuated bass to make this a harder track. It brings a darker feel to trap which isn’t something we get to hear a lot of.
Trap Shit 19– The definition of fresh. UZ always knows exactly when to insert vocals to help explain the feeling or sound he’s going for. “I’m about to go…” transitions into a haunting synth drop. This is the perfect way to sneak his dirty trap ways into your mind…
Trap Shit 20– He’s literally a genius. Number 20 sums up all the “Trap Shit” tracks with a minimal and repetitive melody. It shows where the roots of his Trap Shit sounds originated. The soundcloud description nails it, calling the tones “dungeon” like. It’s a simple and sedative way to wrap up such a sick EP.
UZ’s sound is truly unlike any other artist’s. This four-track banger will easily put you in a trap trance.
