San Francisco-based duo Wild Boyz! are a growing force within the electronic music scene. Their name continually pops up in mixes, blog posts, and HypeM as word of their unique and dynamic sound spreads. Their effort as Wild boyz! started in 2012, but Jared and Kean, driven by their passion for music and electronic culture, have already locked down a solid catalog of accomplishments to build off of.
One of the first remixes to put them on the map was “Royals (Wild Boyz! Remix.)” The track garnered nearly a half a million plays and distinctly enhances the Lorde original with rhythmic 80’s synths while still providing a sick, melodic drop. With the “Royals” remix lodged into new Wild Boyz! fans heads, every release after “Royals” reconfirmed that the Wild Boyz! style has no boundaries – taking on house, d’n’b, dubstep and more since then.
Wild Boyz! are keeping busy this summer. With new releases and a new EP in the works, Wild Boyz! will definitely be catching your eye in the next coming weeks.
“We just released a bunch of remixes last month and since we’ve been doing so many of those, we wanted to get back to working on some original material again. We’ve got some cool projects in the works right now – 2 tracks with our buddy Sam F, one with Michael Teixeira, and a bunch of other ideas and collabs that we’re trying to make happen. I’m not sure how many songs will be on this EP or when or how we’ll put it out, but we’re definitely excited about the whole thing.” – Kean B
