Ahead of the Christmas holiday WKND has decided to play gift-giver by gracing fans with his rendition of Grammy nominated producer ZHU’s “Faded.” The 20 year old German producer’s cut sets sail with a hint of future house before expressing elements of the deep house via warm synth structures, tough percussive elements and a slew of refreshing, but subtle vocal twists throughout.
With 30,000 plays in under twenty-four hours, I’m sure this remix will leave a mark in the minds of music lovers to close out 2014. WKND had a very successful year with his edit Chet Faker’s cover of “Lover” hitting the inaugural #1 spot on Hype Machine and now this official remix release. Expect way more for the German in 2015, but for now enjoy this “Gone Mad” freebie.
