It’s easy to see why Monikkr’s opened for Dada Life, Skrillex, Zedd and Datsik this year – the man can get any crowd going. I got to party at his “Episode One” EP release, and the man spin a sexy set as a headliner. On a rain-drenched New York night, he made the treck downtown well worth it. His single “Illegal” spill shades of Melleefresh’ nasty attitude. His original tracks have a heavy dub influence and revolve around sex, party and bass – the perfect friday night sound.
