Los Angeles-based powerhouse Brennen Grey has released the impeccably crafted H is for Hercules EP. Out now on Kraftek, the four-track stunner marks his debut on Pleasurekraft’s label and has been formulated to take listeners on an unyielding journey of cosmic techno.
It all begins with the almighty title track, offering an immediate deep-dive into the celestial experience the artist has set out to create for revelers. Following this is the sinister “Something Wick This Way Comes,” with a pounding sound as devilish and thought-provoking as its title and lyrics allude to. The third track “Love at 1G” delivers an ethereal collab with label head duo Pleasurekraft, before the EP rounds out with its divine closing in the form of “Tear in the Rain.” Without a doubt, H is for Hercules is bound to become a favorite on the warehouse circuit, having already garnered support from genre bosses Carl Cox and Adam Beyer.
The sounds of Brennen Grey first seized our attention when Carl Cox dropped the title track to his massive Get Down EP at Movement Detroit in 2017. Since then we’ve become fully hooked on the artist’s progressive techno, with some of our favorites including his Talisman EP, “Through the Lens,” “Vested Interest,” and his remix of Motorcycle’s “As The Rush Comes.” Most recently, he dropped a thundering remix of BlackGummy’s “Arp Makes Sphinx Purr” on mau5trap.
Brennen Grey is set to join the legendary Pleasurekfraft on their fall tour Live at 1G, hitting cities like Bangkok, Hong Kong, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. You can expect more dates to be released soon for 2019.
