Kaptain has always had a special place in my musical mind mainly due to their unique balance of jam band and glitch hop sounds, but their latest single “Distracted” certainly takes the experience I already know to a new level.
“Distracted” has an almost anthemic feel to it – quick note: if a song is written poorly, the anthem angle will flop – Kaptain does the exact opposite this, showcasing spot on arrangement and writing – including guitar solos – that simply take the experience of this single to new levels. The group’s sound is undoubtedly maturing and growing – imo completely on the right path, this one was my favorite yet.
