This week’s trip to the dark side offers a delicious helping of tenacious techno, from the underground’s favorite trailblazers to rising players ready to wreak havoc in the ever-evolving genre.
We begin with the scene’s hot and heavy newcomers Kevin de Vries and Weska on their latest collab “Sonorous,” as part of de Vrais debut Cocoon Recordings EP Meraki. Next, the bloodthirsty LA-based producer Brennen Grey is back, but this time he emerges with the almighty duo Pleasurekraft in “Love at 1G,” unveiling a glimpse into the cosmic techno expedition to come from Grey’s forthcoming H is for Hercules EP on Kraftek.
Midway, we drive straight through the atmosphere with Tiger Stripes’ new killer, “Baby,” before melting into the hypnotic grooves of “Dirty” from savants Hans Bouffmyhre & Kyle Geiger. This unreleased collab track is now available as part of Sleaze Records’ 10-year anniversary release and has been featured in Bouffmyhre’s sets for some time now.
Finally, we round out our spiral with an absolute savage piece of work from Montreal’s ferocious and fresh-faced DJ and producer Atroxx. His guest mix on Analytic Trail Radio delivers 76 minutes of relentless, unapologetic techno that will exhaust every rattling bone in your body until it reaches ultimate satisfaction.
