Never ones to shy away from experimenting with a diverse range of genres, burgeoning Chicago-based duo, X5IGHT, have just dropped another striking remix, this time going the Drum & Bass route to add a new layer of intensity to Alexa Lusader’s profound, and anecdotal tune, “White Snow”. Whilst still maintaining the poignant, and euphonious feel of the original, X5IGHT manages to bring a fresh bout of energy to the song, revamping, and playing upon the existing elements of the tune while assimilating a pronounced, grooving D&B beat throughout. Powerful, slightly raspy bass lines fuse seamlessly with the bold percussion rhythms to juxtapose Alexa’s smooth, impassioned vocals which articulate the somber lyrics.
Rising figures in the electronic music scene, Brandon and Jerry (who comprise X5IGHT), have earned themselves a solid fan base since they joined forces back in 2012, currently renowned for their consistent deliverance of inventive and dynamic remixes, as well as some distinctive original tracks. Already having played several club gigs, and massive events, there is no doubt that the duo will continue making waves in the industry in the coming months, with one of their originals, an electrifying house tune entitled “Wacky Arms“, having even been played in Porn&Chicken’s Spring Awakening Music Festival set this past weekend.
