The Polish Ambassador bridged chasms between electric and acoustic music with his 2014 album “Pushing Through the Pavement”, and now we have the first track off the forthcoming PTTP remix album – “Let the Rhythm Just f.t Mr. Lif & Ayla Nereo (eO & Kyrstyn remix)”.
eO and Kyrstyn, successful solo artists in their own right, teamed up to blend styles and sounds on this absurdly danceable ragtime remix. The tune has acoustic sounds from guitars to woodwinds mixed with a pulsating club beat. The beat breaks and changes in the middle of the track, followed by severe glitching and some heavy wobbles, only to have the soft dance beat return in the end. O’s trumpet playing brings a refreshing new melody to the remix, while Mr. Lif’s rhymes and Ayla Nereo’s soothing voice still have their original force.
Give it a listen, and be on the lookout for more remixes from TPA. If eO and Kyrstyn’s work is any indication, the Pushing Through the Pavement remix album will be filled with top-notch musicianship, unique sounds and thoughtful messages so the people can boogie on – conscientiously, of course.
