Released on Shuriken Sounds, “Sorry Human,” has so many positives that play into it, all in one go. From the name of the song, to the energy it puts out, and more, the multi-layered cohesiveness that is connected to it plays as a positive and drives it’s memorability.
The track focuses on a bass house disposition as it pulls the listeners into a cyborg-ruled world where they are the enemy and they are in the minority. The concept of the track is relatable in our modern era, we aren’t sure what the future is going to hold but we know technology is only going to become more deeply connected to the fabric of our society. The vocal samples used create a juxtaposing dialog that adds more personality to the experience. The timing of the many parts at hand is just right, the plotline within building suspense as the the build ups and drops occur alongside.
The idea is just fun and solid all around, the single going above and beyond what ‘regular’ house singles may bring to the table.
Barkin had dropped “Feels Like,” just a few weeks back and now “Sorry Human,” next. He’s clearly far from a one-track talent and has plenty he wants to share with the world.
