Hakkasan Nightclub at the MGM Grand is set to take over the EDM club scene in Las Vegas. The new mega-club, that the world is eagerly anticipating to open, just announced that they have signed Tiësto to an exclusive 20-month residency. Tiësto will perform over 40 dates at the new venue and 20 more at the Wet Republic Ultra Pool.
Tiësto is the biggest name in dance music and the exclusive deal with Hakkasan further solidifies them as the number one player in the Las Vegas nightclub scene. The residency will free the superstar dj up to spend more time producing music and develop in-house collaborations.
Only a few weeks ago Calvin Harris signed with Hakkasan leaving the Wynn group and now Tiësto is the second big name to part. With their rumored unlimited bank roll, it’s likely that Hakkasan will continue to announce new superstar residencies.
Tiësto via press release,
“MGM Grand is the new destination for electronic dance music and I’m excited to be part of this thrilling time.”
The Las Vegas dj bidding wars between Wynn, Marquee and Hakkasan will continue to escalate as venues look to capitalize on the popularity of electronic dance music.
WhiteRaverRafting is expecting Deadmau5 to be the next dj to announce an exclusive deal with Hakkasan and the Angel Management Group.
