Chicago-based duo, X5IGHT, has just dropped a mind-blowing remix of Travis Porter’s viral tune “Make It Rain” as a free download! Renowned for their proficiency with remixing a variety of diverse tracks, the duo has proved once again that they are highly versatile, and inventive. In contrast to the melodic remixes they’ve released in the past couple weeks, this 128 bpm tune skillfully incorporates many trap-like elements into X5IGHT’s signature progressive/electro-house style.

As usual, the duo pulls off a daring coalescence of genres, resulting in a fresh, and distinctive take on the original track. With a catchy melody articulated in bright synth stabs, a powerful sub-bass, and rolling percussive rhythms, this remix takes a very interesting approach to the prominent trap sound that is dominating the scene today, while still seamlessly meshing in X5IGHT’s own individual sound.
