Had a lot of good music come my way this week, which is always a joy to experience. Big and small, future bass to deep house, a little bit of something was able to be sprinkled throughout. New Year vibes have ended and the new year with hundreds of quality tracks are hitting streaming channels, enjoy a taste of the action below.
Midnight Pool Party – Collide
Midnight Pool Party delivers on another deep house / tech house blend that will soothe you to your core. This one is entitled “Collide”. The vocal and pulsating liquid bass sound throughout are the trippiest elements here. Adding a melodic essence that gives the overall experience a good balance.
Figgy – Eyes On You (feat. Angelica Bess)
Figgy’s “Eyes On You” displays a solid blend of disco, pop, and house, this is one of those journeys that gets more hypnotic and sedating as time passes. The energy level here stays withinin a certain realm, locking in that relatable house feeling that’s smooth. It’s Figgy’s first time on RaverRafting is today, but probably won’t be the last.
Ananda Beats – Here & Now
“Here and Now” makes up the dreamy, future side of this week’s Unwind The Mind – Ananda Beats showcasing sustained synths, clean background sounds, and a retro beat all within the 3 minute experience. The vocal sample here is what makes the track sanding out, a popular thing to do right now, but Amanda Beats does what few can by accomplishing the goal of making this not sound generic while tapping into the trend.
ye. – canunot
ye. was one of 2016’s hottest artist, this aspect is starting to bleed into 2017. His latest being “canunot”, an original that goes harder than what the average ye. fan would expect – this dude is going to need some bangers though – he’s been scheduled to play the Trap Nation SXSW showcase in Austin next month, catch him if you are there.
Not Your Dope – The Fall (feat. Mia Vaile)
This is certainly one of my favorite vocal tracks on this weeks list. Not Your Dope and Mia Vaile are clearly a match made in heaven, the single is fire with an epic, none generic future bass drop, plus the single was signed to none other that Lowly Palace – “The Fall” is an internet hit (or maybe more) in the making.
Eau Claire – Room ft. Camille Michelle Gray (Nazariff Remix)
Nazariff has been slaying it with solid remix choices the last few releases, he’s done it again with a super clean, remix that features arrangement and production that’s the most different thing you’ll find on this list. “Room ft. Camille Michelle Gray (Nazariff Remix)” left me as a full-fledged fan of this solo artist.
Max Styler & Colt Matthews – Heartache (smle Remix)
Ever since SMLE’s Monstercat debut, things have been on an exceedingly uphill direction, the group, who still shroud themselves in a lot of mystery, have dropped another remix that once again showcases elements that truly stand out. The most impactful of this is the smooth, light vibrato in the future bass drop as well as the percussion sound and placement. SMLE aced it again.
