After Miami Music Week and then being sick for another week, Unwind The Mind is back and is filled with chill vibes from all around the dance music spectrum. Festival season is clearly in full force as really good music continues to drop ready to be tossed in sets, check out some of our favorites from this week below.
Loé – Circles
Released via Chill Nation, this single hits all the high-points a chill-house-meets-pop release could. Strong vocal, relaxing beat, fitting tempo, and more. The high-pitch vocal sample, in this case, is one of a few that taps into this popular vocal sample style, but does not sound generic at all. Props on that!
Ye. – noteven
Will this dude ever stop releasing music?! I haven’t seen a producer put out music so quickly, while retaining quality exposure per track, in a long time. Ye. is a machine, the key feeling of “noteven” is in the section with arpeggios mixed with solid vocal samples that seems lift the brain right out of the head. If you are looking for a song with feels, look no further.
Elk Road – Come Down
Elk Road and Lowly Palace, need I say more? The drop on this one is one of the most unique on the list, a combination of a deep house bass sound and heart warming slurs that you have not quite heard before. Elk Road continues to climb the ranks with a standout sound and introverted branding. “Come Down” is a continuation of the story.
Dan Bravo – Closure Feat. Jarrod Michael Cook
Dan Bravo’s single “Closer feat. Jarrod Michael Cook” is easily the poppiest one on this week’s Unwind The Mind, my favorite part certainly is when the rythme and bass line up and come in and out together, next to that the sustained synths gradually getting louder as it leads to the next verse. Dan Bravo released this one via Disco Wax / Sony Records, he’s got his fingers in the right pies right now.
Laxum & BERAO – Losing Street
Laxum and BERAO’s latest single “Losing Street” instantly hit me as the ideal ender to any festival set. This single contains uplifting, dramatic vibes build within an anthemic frame. The experience is sustained, elongated, and easily appreciated as the vocals go back and forth, balancing each other out and putting the listener in a reflective mood. If you like Said The Sky’s Owl City remix, you will love this song.
