Unwind The Mind features the softer side of dance music, from downtempo to piano house. If it takes the vibe down a notch and makes you feel chill, and it’s new – good chance you’ll find it here. Dive in to what we have this week below.
Paul Mayson – Want Me (Radio Edit)
“Want Me (Radio Edit)” contains popular elements found in the chill house scene lately, but with a twist. These vocals and saxophones are packed full of vibrancy and energy at a level you don’t hear other places. “Want Me (Radio Edit),” ironically, makes me think high energy chill house may be gaining more traction than once thought.
THEY. – Motley Crue (Beshken Remix)
Beshken is a relatively new producer but has a groundbreaking hip hop and electronic sound. I definitely vibe with this. Oh, and shout out to MOAG records, everything they touch is gold.
Couzare Ft. April Cheung – Afraid Of Heights [Out Feb. 18th]
Courzare has been one of the fastest rising stars in the Tropikult fam, and for good reason. The dude knows how to differentiate, pair him self with great artists, and push his tunes well. Being a seen artist requires a great bit stragetic placment, charisma, and know-how these days. “Afraid Of Heights” is a quality song, for anytime, on the right label aimed at the right audience. With over 125K in less than half a week, you’ll be hearing this tune everywhere soon.
Luna Shadows – Cry Wolf
“Cry Wolf” truly captures a new wave / chill sound. Luna shadows is a multi-instumentliast, which clearly has influenced her ear for sound design. The song reminds me alot of KOLAJ, would love to see them collaberate sometime.
CID – Love Is Blind (LuQuS Remix)
The mixture of melancholy and pop is something LuQuS has helped me discover and enjoy. LuQuS has remixed grammy-award winning artist CID “Love Is Blind (LuQuS Remix)”, the tune first appeared in the official “CID Music – Love is Blind Remixes”, a pack worth listening to from top to bottom – but LuQuS really captured the moment with happy and sad elements in harmony
DE$iGNATED – Begging For You. (Feat Ayah Marar)
A mixture of piano house and classic house presents itself via “Begging For You. (Feat Ayah Marar)”. This tune is the whole package, catchy melodic pop, a nice dose of true originality, and atmospheric effects to tie it all together. This duo is going places.
Neil Thomas – Home (Jonas Vincent Remix)
There are few tunes that can match the epicness of what Jonas Vincent is delivering, but “Home (Jonas Vincent Remix)” goes huge on a house sound with sweeping synths and a laid-back tempo. “Home (Jonas Vincent Remix)” is a remix of Neil Thomas who currently has a hot EP enetitled Home. Here, both the remix and originals are worth checking out.
