A lovely fold of electronic music has come through the channel that brings so many together, SoundCloud. Per usual, this week’s Unwind The Mind will share a handful of recent chill goodies that have been hitting our soft spot. Enjoy the list below.
Disco Fries – Somebody Told Me ft. Chrissy Quadros
Disco Fries kicks off this list and for good reason, “Somebody Told Me ft. Chrissy Quadros” is a great cover choice, is super well-mastered, and combines some of the best elements that make chill house / deep house / pop house vibes warm your heart. This is a great addition to the Disco Fries sound.
KOIL & Vito Fun – Less Talk More Art
“Less Talk More Art” combines minimal and classic house elements, but still has a catchy flare that is found within. KOIL & Vito Fun have released this one on the long-standing label Brooklyn Fire, a label known for on-point tastemaking. There’s 2 variations of this release, so click through the SoundCloud embed to hear more.
Keys N Krates – I Know U (KRNE Remix)
Keys N Krates is on fire atm. There music has been everywhere, especially their latest remix pack featuring a slew of dope artists. KRNE’s addition is one of the tightest on the list. “I Know U (KRNE Remix)” pulls together all the right flavors, fantastic percussion sound design, clever melodies and rhythms that create an all-its-own experience around the original, and fluid arrangement that makes a strong flow from beginning to end.
Venessa Michaels – Really Like (feat. Effy)
RaverRafting has worked closely with Venessa Michaels in the past and we are stoked to see her not only release something new to enjoy, but a song that has so much right going on within. The 3-on-4 bell pattern showcased during the drop combined with the vocals, drums, extra effects, ect. It all combines in an infectious pattern that’s down-right fun and feels good.
Virtual Riot – Flutter (Feat. Madi)
Virtual Riot is one name you just can’t escape currently. “Flutter (Feat. Madi)” feels like reading a book, each passing section of the song experienced as chapters – simply put, the tune uses extravagant production and sound choice to make each section feel all it’s own. This one is a keeper.
Attom – Better (Radio Edit)
Released on Ultra Music, Attom fits right in within the Ultra family with “Better”. There’s a light 80’s feel, a modern, ear-candy, soul-pop style vocal, and a Flume-meets-Odesza vibe that is hard to compete with. Attoms’ “Better” is a dope anytime track that we are probably going hear more of over summer.
Adastra & Jesse K – Future
“Future” was sort of a random find, but has so many right elements going on within. Adastra & Jesse K, who are just breaking into to dance game, pretty much have the whole package. Complimentary vocals, a happy, non-generic future bass feel – this tune takes you on a journey and leaves you wanting more.
S’natra – Number One (Prod. Ivan Jackson)
The tune is so real and hits your straight in the feels, it’s hard not to share after first listen. “Number One” tells a story that so many identify with, growing as an artist and human elements surrounding that journey. “Number One” makes you feel #1 and never gets old.
