X5IGHT Takes Tegan & Sara’s “Closer” To The Next Level With A Jaw-Dropping Remix [Free Download]

Chicago-based progressive/electro-house duo, X5IGHT, have been on a roll as of late, having released several impressive remixes for some prominent figures in the industry in the past few weeks. Given away as free downloads, their remixes of Adventure Club’s “Wonder”, and Travis Porter’s “Make It Rain”, got the attention of many dance music fans, and now the duo is back at it again, this time with a stellar remix of Tegan & Sara’s hit song, “Closer”.

X5IGHT adds a bout of energy to the original, incorporating their signature signature style to transform it into an uplifting, and electrifying progressive-house tune. Tegan & Sara’s lush, and passionate vocals harmonize flawlessly with the revamped melody, accompanied by a powerful sub bass, cleverly-arranged vocal chops, bright synth stabs, and a rich, profound chord progression. With the original already a very intense song as it is, X5IGHT artfully builds a new layer of depth around the tune, adding in atmospheric effects to further complement its existing elements.

I must say that X5IGHT has really surpassed themselves with this remix, and out of all their recent releases, this is most definitely one of my personal favourites. Becoming increasingly prominent within the dance music scene, each successive X5IGHT track consistently demonstrates their growth as producers, and fans can definitely look forward to hearing more breathtaking remixes, as well as original tunes from the duo in the near future.
