RaverRafting was founded in 2011 and since its birth one of our main goals has been to release content surrounding the dance music scene. However, we have also held ourselves to a certain standard in order to not partake on reporting on drama and non-related dance music news. Since 2011, RaverRafting has published thousands of articles spanning from track reviews, interviews, festival news, and our weekly series like Unwind The Mind. In addition to all of this, another one of RaverRafting’s goals has been to connect with readers and ravers that indulge in our content. We strive to make RaverRafting’s presence known at festivals and shows in order to meet and increase our relationship with ravers that regularly enjoy dance music. RaverRafting’s first hangout was at Big Dub Festival this summer and the review for that event can be found here.
As part of our mission to connect with ravers, RaverRafting will be teaming up with the Facebook group, East Coast Rave Community (ECRC). The idea for ECRC blossomed after EDC NY 2013 when three volunteers came together and decided that no raver should ever be alone at festivals or shows. Since then, it has been connecting ravers and has amassed 12,000 members up and down the East Coast. Based primarily in the Tri-state area, ECRC provides its members with information regarding festival news, event previews, and general discussion about dance music. Within ECRC also lies a tight knit and knowledgeable community that organize and meet up for shows on a weekly basis. Through our partnership, RaverRafting will be organizing ticket giveaways for festivals and shows exclusively for ECRC members. We also plan to set up official meet and greets with artists at RaverRafting hangouts that all ECRC members are welcome to attend.
RaverRafting’s next hangout will take place this October at Nightmare Festival in Maryland, we hope to have all ECRC members come out and meet some artists as well as staff!
