Abby Vice’s latest single “Moon Whisperer,” featuring Delgira, is out now via Grand Alliance Music. The track lands in a downtempo lane—ambient bass, a touch of trip-hop, and steady 140 BPM drums all framing a lead piano that keeps things grounded.
Delgira’s vocals move through themes of life, death, and what sits between. Her delivery floats above the production without crowding it, giving space for both the lyrics and the instrumental to breathe and build together.
A Cincinnati-based producer and self-taught pianist, Abby Vice brings a steady presence and rich texture to her work. She and Delgira first crossed paths on a festival lineup back in 2023, and the track came to life over time as a remote collaboration that took shape across a few versions.
The single arrives ahead of Abby’s upcoming set and workshop at Secret Dreams Festival and follows recent live highlights including support slots with Manic Focus, Desert Dwellers, and Random Rab.
We caught up with Abby to talk about the new release, her upcoming sets, and a few key moments from the past year. What came through clearly is how much of her artistry is about listening—whether it’s to tides, crowds, collaborators, or the space between notes. And somehow, in between all that quiet observation, she’s making plenty of noise.
Interview with Abby Vice
How are you preparing for your showcase and workshop at Secret Dreams festival?
I will have a few neat things going on at Secret Dreams! My good friend Vusive and I are working on a B2B experimental/downtempo livetronica set with hints of R&B. We’ll both be featuring original songs—I’ll be playing live piano and synth, and Vusive will be vibing on violin.
I’ll also be accompanying the ABUNDANCE ecstatic dance workshop. The music theme for this will be house and techno, with live keys on top—genres I’ve never played live before.
There may be a surprise announcement coming, too, for an all-original solo set. Stay tuned!
What festival did you and Delgira meet at? What do you find cool about Delgira?
I met Delgira at Afterfly Metamorphosis in Delaware, circa 2023. Where to start? I was first captivated by her voice when I heard “Vibration” (Josh Teed, Daggz, Delgira) and “Promise” (Entangled Mind, Delgira). As I got to know her—mostly through Instagram messages—I became a fan not only of her music, but also her art and drive. She’s very focused on visual arts and recently started tattooing. Talk about a force of creativity.
Where did you open for Random Rab and Desert Dwellers? Anything about their sets that inspire you?
Your Allure brought me down to Asheville Music Hall in Asheville, NC—originally to open for Random Rab, who was on tour with Desert Dwellers. Rab headlined on a Friday, and Desert Dwellers on Saturday. I was touched when they invited me back as a special guest opener for Desert Dwellers as well. The energy that weekend was unreal. The crowd was ready to dance and open to the downtempo energy. Driving back to Cincinnati, I remember telling myself to hold onto that feeling—grateful, proud, and connected to the work I’ve been doing.
How was your show with Michal Menert this past March? What songs helped set the tone? Anything you’re into from Menert lately?
I loved playing this show—it was my third time opening for Michal Menert. He’s always so warm with fans after the show, which I really admire. His new release “At Your Feet” is a vibe. It’s groovy and laid-back with R&B vocal chops and guitar work that bring a lot of flavor.
One standout moment from my set was dropping an unreleased collab with YILO called “Hope.” It’s bright and uplifting—and afterward, some friends told me they want to use it for their wedding. I’ll take that as a win.
