After becoming addicted to track “Stay High,” a flip of Tove Lo’s “Habits,” I had to know more about Hippie Sabotage. Finding any real information on the pair proved futile, except for one phrase I found in each Google result: “Two brothers who produce music.” It’s enough for now, because through my search for information on the artists, I discovered more and more tracks equally as mind-blowing. It’s safe to say I’m hooked.
I think the best tracks are the simplest ones. “Stay High” doesn’t have any rapid build-ups or explosive drops, and it doesn’t need them, its impactful moments are successful enough on their own. Hippie Sabotage doesn’t have to try to hard to impress you, and I’m thoroughly impressed with how badly this track makes me want to drive around in my car so I can shamelessly binge on this euphoric feeling.
