Phoenix-based DJ and producer Randy Perez has released a new VIP remix of his single “Not Like You” via Synesthesia. Originally a collaboration with Baezic, the track has now been reinterpreted by Perez with a slower tempo, more space in the mix, and tighter production details suited for club play.
The remix emphasizes clarity and control. Perez removes excess layers from the original, introduces a live-feel bassline, and reshapes the vocal phrasing with tape delay and subtle effects. Synths are reworked to strike more cleanly, while percussion supports the rhythm without overpowering it. The track was specifically adjusted to perform better in set contexts and late-night environments.
Perez has released music on LFTD Global and Angry Dogs Records and has performed across cities including Los Angeles, San Diego, Austin, and Milwaukee. His original version of “Not Like You” has amassed over 95,000 streams. This new version extends the track’s lifespan by reframing it for DJs seeking versatile, minimal melodic techno tools.
